GLOBAL FEDERATION OF CHAPLAINS
MISSION STATEMENT
Global Federation of Chaplains (GFOC) is committed to world evangelism and discipleship in educating and training chaplains of all nations. GFOC will train chaplains, provide resource global ministry, and offer network through interdependent partnerships with the Church around the world.
Our commitment is to provide loving servants of God the opportunity to educate themselves in traditions of their native lands and in the Word of God through a caring ministry to people in various places beyond the walls of the institutional church. Our chaplains minister one to one, chaplain to person in need.
Our chaplains will be shepherds to their flock providing the Bread of Life and nutritional food for the hungry, providing both Living Water and drinking water to the thirsty, providing Gods love and hospitality to the strangers, providing clothing to the naked, caring for the spiritually and physically ill, visiting those in physical, mental and emotional prisons. (Matthew 25:31-46)
Through our ministry, we will establish resources for chaplains to use worldwide. The primary resource for this ministry is the inerrant Word of God. Native language Scriptures will be part of this resource. Support from the local churches will be part of the resources for training local servants to become chaplains in leading their flocks. We recognize the three persons of God: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ) and God the Spirit (Holy Spirit). In training chaplains to be able ministers, we seek to make them sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, of the Holy Spirit, of God that has provided through His love everlasting life. (2 Corinthians 3:6).
Working with the local churches will provide network through interdependent partnerships. As interdependent partnerships with the local churches, we also forge interdependent relationships with God built on trust and love. God loves the world and the foundation of the chaplains relationship with God is based on this love. The chaplain can reach out and share this love of God with each person he/she comes in contact with every day. The chaplain needs to place his/her trust in God.
